Hiya!  I'm not banded yet.. but almost!  I was wondering if there are any groups/meetings in South Jersey?  I think there is a group with the hospital I'll be having my surgery, but I can't find much online, and I wouldn't mind starting now to go.  Are there other groups that anyone knows of?  I think of the support groups like a sort of AA meeting...  and I think if I can find group meetings and things like this, it will really benefit me.  Anyway, thanks for the info if anyone knows!

There is a program called New Beginnings in Voorhees it's located the William G. Rorer Fitness center on Evesham Road. I go to their support group which is available on Monday and Thursday evenings. I know that there are patients of Dr. Kipnis who belong to this program.

Thanks very much for your replies...

I went for my pre-admission stuff at the hospital the other day, and I had a wonderful meeting with an Hollistic Nurse.  She was the person with the info I needed!  Every 3rd Monday there is a support group in the evening, and that is through the medical center associated with my hospital.  Finally!  I only wish I had found it sooner.. .would have loved to have gone to some pre-op meetings!  Ah well, too late for that!  Surgery Monday!

Again... thanks for replying with the info.
