South Jersey support groups?
Hiya! I'm not banded yet.. but almost! I was wondering if there are any groups/meetings in South Jersey? I think there is a group with the hospital I'll be having my surgery, but I can't find much online, and I wouldn't mind starting now to go. Are there other groups that anyone knows of? I think of the support groups like a sort of AA meeting... and I think if I can find group meetings and things like this, it will really benefit me. Anyway, thanks for the info if anyone knows!
FYI The Support Group at JFK Stratford division in Stratford is the last Monday of the month, we meet on the 3rd floor conference room. Get off the elevator turn left then turn right at the first door on the right follow around corner to conference room on left side. Everyone is welcome. We start our meetings at 7:00 PM and usually run to 8:15 PM Hope to see you there.
Dr. David Greenbaum has a support group meeting in Willingboro, NJ

Thanks very much for your replies...
I went for my pre-admission stuff at the hospital the other day, and I had a wonderful meeting with an Hollistic Nurse. She was the person with the info I needed! Every 3rd Monday there is a support group in the evening, and that is through the medical center associated with my hospital. Finally! I only wish I had found it sooner.. .would have loved to have gone to some pre-op meetings! Ah well, too late for that! Surgery Monday!
Again... thanks for replying with the info.
