Anyone a patient of Dr. Brolin? (Plainsboro,NJ) Any feedback?
I'm thinking I might want to use a doc closer to home....have an appt. with Dr. Brolin tomorrow... well today actually ;-). I would love to hear any feedback...trying to make a tough decision here.
The trekking back and forth into the city to see Dr. Pomp and the nutritionist is already becoming a concern...yikes!
Thanks for any comments!!

I did not use Dr. Brolin. I spoke with someone yesterday who did use him and he said he was very good at his trade, but lacks bedside manor. I used Dr. Washington in Freehold and absolutely love him. Warm and compassionate, he makes time to answer his patients' questions. I had absolutely no pain or complications following surgery.
Good luck with your journey.

Thanks so much for your response Pat!
As it turns out, I do not have out of network coverage for Bariatric Surgery which is OK with me because I had already come to the conclusion that Dr. Pomp is the best guy for me regardless of the traveling challenges ...and he's IN network!. YAY!!
All the best to you!!

Dr. Brolin did my RNY in 1999. I am currently going to be having a revision to a DS because of weight gain.
Dr. Brolin is professional and has been doing RNY's for a very long time and knows his stuff. He's a bit dry, but if you can get past that you will see that he does have a sense of humor. Don't let his dryness dissaude you though.
I would have gone back to him for a revision but I don't think he does DS. Personally though, knowing what I now know, I would have/should have had a DS from the beginning given my high BMI at the time of my initial surgery. (I weighed 430).
If you have any questions please let me know.
