Lap Band w/Dr. Ducheine of East Orange

I am sooooo upset.  I've been approved by my medical provider for Lap Band surgery and everything was a go for the 2nd week of May 2009. I put in my paperwork at the job for time off. 

I went for my pre surgery admit. workup and just happened to call the doctor to inquiry about paperwork. On that day, 4 days from my surgery date, I was informed that the doctor was having trouble w/the hospital & wouldn't be doing Lap Band surgery - AT ALL - ANYMORE.

W T F*ck    I've put in for time at the job and got things prepared at home and this is how my case was handled. I'm sooo pissed off. This was 7 months of my LIFE. . . How unprofessional.

Don't get too upset .. yes I know it's fustrating - but at least you know you CAN have it.

Go to another Doctor. And you probably won't have to go through all the hassel. Of course I recommend MY Doctor - and I bet they could fit you very quickly.

Thank you . . . I've found another docter, that I'm comfortable with and will have the surgery in July.

You may want to try Dr. Karl Strom, he is the head of the bariatric program at Mountainside Hospital.  I had RNY but have several friends who had lap band with Dr. Strom and highly recommend and love him.

luckily you can get copies of all your information and test results..bring that to a new doctor and he will call to confirm your approval and set you up with a date in no time

Ditto for Dr. Strom!  I had LapBand at SOCH but it's Dr. Stroms new office here.  His partner Dr. Reich did mine but Dr. Strom is a great guy - excellant Doc!

Dr. Goyal, Union, NJ is wonderful.. Things never go perfect.  Look at it this way. Change your paperwork to Dr. Ajay Goyal and reschedule your time at work and you will enjoy some extra weeks off during the best part of spring.. Get your exercise of brisk walking in some really nice weather.  I've had so many ups and downs.  But God will work it out
