Oh wow....well thank God your insurance covered everything and Dr. Bertha was able to do the RNY!!! I just love that group!!!

My pre-op class is with Dr. Iannace....looking forward to it!!!

I have a surgery date of June 19 also.  I start my pre-op on May 21st.  I have having lap RNY in Livingston.  I new to NJ so I am not sure if that is close to you or not.

The pre op class that I had did not go for the whole 3 hours. We started at 3 p.m. and were done and out of there by 5:15 p.m. You find out when to be there the day before the surgery you get a call from someone from the facility where you are having your procedure. At least that's how St. Claire's worked - if you didn't get a call by a certain time then you had a number to call and they told you when you were scheduled for and when to arrive. Be prepared to be delayed once you get there. My surgery was scheduled for 12:15 but I didn't get into the OR until 1:45. Don't sweat the small stuff - you'll do great!!

Thanks buddy!!! I'm hoping since it's at the Florham Park Center there won't be a delay and i'll be the first one in line....LOL

Congrats Kimi - just forewarning you the pre - op class was a bore ... but the sheets they hand out are lifesavers...I think they didnt leave my hands for the first two weeks after surgery - You are in great surgical hands - :-)
