Random Poll--Looking for your 2 cents!

Hi y'all! I'm just taking a random poll to see what level of interest we'd have in NJ for a new service that's called a "Pouch Party."  It's basically an interactive cooking demo for weight loss surgery post-ops.  You get WLS friendly recipes & a goody bag with protein samples and other WLS friendly items as a parting gift.  A step by step preparation of the menu is demonstrated, then everyone eats lunch (or whatever meal it is).  The cost is usually like $10 per person, or if it's a large group then a flat fee would be negotiated.  I would be willing to organize & plan one in NJ once I know how many people would be interested in attending.  If you're a support group leader, these can also be scheduled as part of a support group meeting or as an extra event.  I thought this was a really fun idea, and we usually have frequent get togethers anyway, so I wanted to run it by you guys.  Hope everyone is doing great!  Please post and tell me if you'd be into this!  Jen

U got my interest up! LOL. I am assuming this is like a home demo kind of party. I live in Camden County and I know my surgeon (Dr. Neff) is with U.D.M.J. and we meet monthly in Stratfrod JFK. Our Nut is Vickie(?). I can find out for you, LOL...anyway if we can enough folks this would be great.  

It's kind of a demo type thing, but nothing is sold.  I'm not trying to sell anything LOL.  Just thought if enough people were interested then I can coordinate for them to do a few locally. Thanks!

Sounds great for one of the OCWLS Support Group Meetings -- the Lakewood location even has a kitchen!

How far away are you?

I'm in Cliffwood Beach but that's not an issue, I am in Lakewood and Toms River all the time.  I was actually going to PM you about coming to one of your support group meetings. 

The Friday Toms River meeting is actually a much better attended group and you would get more exposure, although the Lakewood location has a kitchen.  Let me know which you prefer and we'll try to come up with a date.
