Approved and hungry in New Jersey

I was approximately half way when I posted, about a week in.
It's been a horrible weekend and I let it get to me so I've behaved horribly as well.
I took a sliver of pizza yesterday and felt guilty all night.
I also had a spoonful of mashed potatoes today and now I feel so guilty I was bad twice that I'm thinking I shouldn't eat part of what's on the diet tomorrow, not that that would make up for it..
Surgery is scheduled for Friday.

Hi Val, I wanted to tell you that if you go to the top of the page and hit Forums a box will drop down...Then hit Surgical and a box will open on the side....Hit Lap-Band and you will be on the board with people who are only Banded...You will also find more of Dr Reich's patients there. I live here in Jersey too but I rarely post on this board because of all the different types of surgery here. I find it easier to relate to those who are having the same thing done. Plus it is a very active board and you will meet alot a new friends who will help you with every step along the way. I have learnt more from these people than I could tell you and they are always very eager to help and you get replies right away
They are a great bunch and I think you would benifit from them, I know I have...

Hello...I too  am having my surgery by Dr. Reich,on the 24th Of April..I have started to wean myself to full liguids. I know if you call Ginger, she may tell you you can have a small portion of chicken or lean cuisene for dinner. I have been doing liquids all day,but Greek plain fat free yougurt with fresh strawberries, blueberries, pinapples and grapes in it. I have my pre-op testing tomorrow, and will see Dr. Reich and Ginger then, so I may have to stop the fruit and yogurt, we'll see. We should be friends, have you come to any of the SOCH support meetings yet?? They have em once a month. Hope to meet you at one and good luck to you....

Revision on 05/19/09 with
OK ladies - I've been through the pre-op meal replacements before (banded 10/06).  It sucks, I know.  I found chewing sugar-free gum really helped with the need to "chew".  It's going to make your surgery go much easier though - you  need your liver shrunk down so the surgeon can manuever around there.  AND guess what - I'm having revision surgery on May 19th and I have to fo the pre-op liquids ALL OVER AGAIN!!  Not looking forward to it, but I know it's important.
