Bypass to band.....
Hi everyone I am new to this website. My name is Laurie. I have a question and I don't know if anyone can help me with their own experiences. I had the bypass surgery done about 51/2 years ago. I have since gained alot of weight back. I have been thinking of options, as I feel like watching, dieting is never enough. What about the lap band. Will the surgeons do it for me after having the bypass...?? Any other thoughts???? PLEASE help!!!
My Doctor's practice will do this. But as mentioned aboved, if you don't have the qualifications - you may need to do it out of pocket.
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Sorry to hear your wls failed you...I don't think you should get a band if the bypass surgery didn't work the lap band won't work either..Have you considered a revision to the DS. There are a lot of people who have been failed by their wls and were revised to a ds and lost almost to all of their excess weight..check out the ds board and dsfacts.com...duodenalswitch.com..The ds is one of the most superior forms of wls doing it's job with restriction and malabsorbtion while still allowing you to live a normal life..check out the information it may intrigue you..also if you click my doctor's name under my avatar he's in nj and does revisions from bypass surgery to ds....
