Question about insurnace
HI everyone,
Hope all is well and everybody is doing great, I have a question maybe someone can help me.... I have Horizon NJ Health, Family Care, I went to surgeon on March 11 ,gave him all my paperwork, he said he was sending it to the insurance company on March 13... How long does it take to get a answer, I am going crazy here waiting, Its been since last Sept . I had to do a 6 month weigh in and now Its 7 months and Im getting excited,scared, anxious,nervous.. So if anybody can help me ,let meknow how long they had to wait for an approval or denial it would help me alot ... Hope everyone is doing great and losing lots....Ty and enjoy ur weekend......

I had Horizon BCBS PPO and once the surgeon submitted (after the 6 months with my primary Dr), it took less than 2 weeks. I gave them a letter from my primary Dr., all the 6 months weigh-in paperwork and results of my sleep study showing sever sleep apnea to send to BCBS.

I think it is time to call your surgeon and see if they have heard yet. It also OK to call the insurance directly.
