Pain in Groin Can't find help
Dear Dr. Vincent Iannace MD
Thank you for taking the time to see me this afternoon. I cannot reiterate enough to you the increasing groin pain and discomfort that I am in. I initially saw Dr. Mariana Grundman, MD at my primary doctor’s office, Avenel Iselin Medical Group. She said that she felt a small hernia and referred me to a surgeon. I called your office at that point but was told your doctors were moving the following week and it would be two weeks before an appointment. I then went to Dr. Wein, MD, a urologist, in Edison who told me it was a muscle sprain. (you have the report). The pain got progressively worse so I made an appointment with Dr. Rajesh Rao, MD., a pain specialist in Morristown, who again diagnosed it as not muscular or skeletal but a hernia and referred me to a surgeon. I have faxed his office for release of his records to you. I then went to a scheduled follow up visit with Dr. Edward M. Decter my orthopedic surgeon in West Orange NJ. I told him of the groin pain. He examined me for this and took x-rays to rule out back or hip related pain. He also diagnosed a hernia and referred me to a surgeon. I have also faxed his office for release of those records to you.
The pain getting more frequent, I went to see Dr. Yvonne Nelson MD, also at Avenel Iselin Medical group. She is my actual primary doctor of choice. To rule out a hernia, she scheduled a Cat Scan and Ultra Sound. After reviewing the results of these she said that it was definitely a hernia.
I then went to Dr. Nicolas Bertha in your office and was examined by him. He said that the hernia was not in the usual place, but it was a hernia, and asked that I get the surgical records from a previous abdominalplasty and referred me to you. I have attained these records, plus I got copies of the cat scan and ultra sound on CD.
I am asking that all the records of all the consults that I have recently had by these multitude of specialist be released to you, just in case they may be of help. Attached are the releases for these records to you. I have already faxed them to the appropriate doctors.
When the pain hits, it feels like I have been kicked in the groin, it is an excruciating pain. It hits often.
Thank you for your attention to my issues, I am very grateful for any help you can give.
Thanks for your reply. I have a list of in network surgeons. The problem is that Bertha and Innacci are both in network for me, that and that Bertha has done three prioir surgeries on me I went back to them. They say not all surgeons will be able to handle my issue. I even suggested to them going into the ER at Morristown Hospital and finding an appropriate surgeon there. I am told by them that that is not a good option due to the complexity of my issue. I just don't know where to turn.
It may not be what those DR's want you to do.. but what is your gut telling you.. are you able to wait for them to have time or decide when they want to help you.. Pain is a sign the body sends that something is not right.. Listen to your gut and your heart and make the best decision for you..
Those are surgeons that work in Morristown.. if you go to Morristown.. and you tell the triage nurse of them they should be paged to my understanding that you are there and need help...
Best of luck.. I am praying for your recovery.
Donna
I even went to a neurologist for evaluation. More tests scheduled. Just trying to find a solution to my issues.

I go down to exit 5 all the time, I am a Free Mason and our offices are in Burlington. I have an appointment with a surgeon at Morristown Hosptial on Thursday. Hopefully I will get a resolution then. I will contact Dr. Greenbaum about a revision in the near future.
Thank you for you concern and advise you have helped,
