I feel like I got "FIRED" by my Therapist!
Hi Vic.
I'm a little confused... did she tell you NOT to come back? Or did you tell her that you do know what you need to do... that what you need help with is sticking to it?
Hey... therapy definately isn't for everyone, and not every therapist has the right "style" for each potential patient.
It does seem like you have a good head on your shoulders, so stick with the support groups and stuff like you said and I'm sure you will be fine.
Just remember... everything that goes into your mouth should be a CONSCIOUS decision... no mindless eating!

Thank you for your support!
That is just amazing... you found the one honest therapist who wasn't interested in their paycheck.
Well, you are obviously doing something right..so don't sweat it... if you really want to go to therapy try someone else.. but I am not an advocate.. I got nothing out of it when I tried it at your stage.
stay in control and you will be great..
Have a great holidy.. and don't be afraid of the food.... that is the best advice I can give you .

A view from the other chair......
The ending of treatment ought to be done as compasionately as the beginning, with a complete discussion of the issues and with the opportunity for the patient to express and explore their feelings fully.
Sure sounds like you never got that, I am sorry......
If you continue to feel like the issues that you had at the start of treatment are still with you I would urge you to get the support you want. Just like every bagel is not the best so it is true for therapists.
