It all started on 5/08 this is my blog-------- I was able to have my nutritional consultation today at the Kingley Institute we spoke about my diet and what I need to do to loose weight it went very well with the nutritionist, then I met with the gym recruiter I was given before and after pictures of people that lost weight WITHOUT surgery (hmmm), but I think it went down hill when I don't join their gym I said I didn't want to add anything else in my budget and she said well I could stop going out to dinner and lunch WOW. Note: I had already explained my employer provide the gym for free.I met with her once more after that and she said Oh...I see you have new shoes. So I called to let them know I did want anymore dealings with her a I explained why and several phone call later for the manager I decided I would continue with the company, but in another location.

Dr. Bertha is my surgeon.  I used the Nut that works closely with his office.  When I went to her as a pre-op she said that my biggest problem was that I skipped breakfast (for whatever that is worth).  It sounds to me that this Nut is more interested in selling you something than seeing you lose weight.  I went to my PCP for my 6 months of visits.  It sounds to me like she could string you along for months. In your shoes I would try to get my records and start seeing my PCP to document my visits.

Hi

Thank You. for that info I'm going to get that info ASAP.....The only reason why I did not go to the Nut that work with Dr.Bertha  office is because I started out with a different Dr's office that wasn't in my network although I wasn't going to be charge for the surgery I found out later I would be charge for my fills  the Nut there said it would be a good idea to treat with 2 nut and that how I started with Kingley the Nut at the other office was free. I started with Advanced Laparoscopic in July  I was on my 3rd month with Kingley.

I was banded by Dr. Bertha on 10/13/08 and I see Sara, the dietician, at Kingsley every 2 weeks.  My results with Kingsley have been good and I did not have the same experience as you re high pressure sales but I had seen another complaint on the Internet about that.  Unfortunately, you need them or another nutritionist to evaluate you.  Write down everything you are eating, the time and quantity, and calories if you can.  Kingsley sells a great little book for $4 that is a food diary.  Stick with it.  It will be worth it but know that the work never stops after the band.  It's only a tool.  Think about going to the lapband support group meeting at Dr. Bertha's office Wed, 10/29, at 7 pm for lapbanders.  You may find it beneficial to speak with others. I'll be there.
