EXCESS SKIN?????
Hi Jackie,
First my stats. I am currently 44 and almost 5 years post-op. I have lost a total of roughly 225 lbs (depending on the day!) Like you said, it is very different for everyone. I have met people my weight with almost no excess skin or excess skin in very different places from me. My worst area was my stomach. After losing all I could it was still huge. I was about 170 and wearing a size 14. I felt great and looked good. And I swore I would never have plastic surgery. Well you've heard the old addage never say never! I HAD to get rid of that belly. Incidientally I had exercised from day 1 and quite a bit. My lower body lift was one of the biggest done at Morristown and I have to tell you that it changed my life as much if not more than losing 200 lbs. did. The recovery was rough but I would do it again a million times over. I went for a 14 to an 8 overnight. And it's not even the size that matters. I feel "normal" for the first time EVER (obese since I was 5 years old). And things have beocme even easier and working out even better. Anyway, I could go on and on. If you want to talk more please just let me know!

I think it depends on your gender, age, how much weight you lost, how long you were overweight, etc.
I lost 228 lbs in the past 9 mos and have a bit of extra skin (see profile) but I think I loo****onsidering. I'm 31 and was only overweight for about 12 yrs.
PS would be nice but not sure if i want to put myself through that considering the complications I had with the original surgery. Already dreading going back under the knife for my hernia repair.
To sum it up...."...it all depends"... LOL sorry not much of a help.
