Anyone here in NJ had a DS after a Lapband? What surgeon did you have?

I've had a lapband for 4 years.  Lost some weight, not all the weight I wanted to and now the weight is going back up again.  Fills are no longer an option.  So I'm thinking of having the DS done and the laptop band removed.

Has anyone here gone through this in NJ?  I've been looking for surgeons, and have picked out a couple, but wanted to hear from others about their experiences with this and what surgeons did you use.  Are you happy with your decision? 

Any information would be appreciated.

I know of someone who had DS after RNY. She used Dr. Greenbaum. You can sometimes find her on the DS forum.

I had Lapband for 4 years and did OK with it. I had band erosion and had it removed. I had my DS with Dr Greenbaum 1 year ago today. Best decision I have ever made...I'm at my personal goal. I never would have made it there with the Lapband...Feel free to ask any questions.

There's only 1 DS surgeon in Jersey,  Dr. Greenbaum......  your options increase if you're willing to cross the river into Manhattan!     There's about 4 or 5 listed on duodenalswitch.com
