I'm going & was very surprised when my hubby told me this weekend that he wanted to go with me.  I was like "ummmmmm - okay, you know how I go on & on & on about my surgery...well, this will be 8 hrs of it non-stop".

hmmm, i don't know if it's the wisest thing to bring a spouse, supportive or not...i was at the Lancaster conference, there were a few spouses there, they were quite bored. I am sure your hubbies are "worried" about you meeting up with strangers. Maybe all the hubbies should do something else while the conference is going on. I would never subject my husband to this, it would be torture for him!!!! Just my two cents added in.

I agree with Sheri A.  I've been to past OH Conventions and other bariatric events....I always look at them as a treat to myself, to focus on my life changes, give myself a boost, be inspired, and to network with others who "can relate".  My husband is supportive and always has been, but it would be torture for him to spend the day at a wls event, just like it would be torture for me to accompany him on a fishing trip!!
I guess we're up to 4 cents here!!
