Hi everybody!!
I recently moved from Puerto Rico to Raritan NJ and I have decided that I need to loose weight. I am 240 pounds. Since everything concerning medical care is different from PR I want to know where should I go to start a weight lost plan. In PR you're supposed to go first to a Internal Medicine Doctor who's the person that will gave you the diet, the prescription to weight loose medications and who will perform follow up laboratory analysis to see who's your body responding to medications and diet. If your body doesn't responds well he will send you to a Bariatric specialist. I want to know how is the process here in NJ and if you think that I will try first with weight lost pills. I don't have hyphertension or diabetes but it runs on my family. My only medical problem is lower cholesterol.
I will appreciate your responses.

Thanks,
Gladys

If you don't have a primary care doc you need to find one. Also alot depends on your health insurance & what it allows & /or requires Good luck & welcome to NJ
