New Member Hunterdon County

Hi All...newbie here waiting for my appointment with Dr. Andrei. 
I had to go to Livingtston because it seems that either a.) There are no fat people in Hunterdon County or b.) The doctors there just don't get involved with WLS. 

So as I am just starting my journey, I'd love to hear from others in my neighborhood as well as those who used Dr. Andrei for their surgery.

Thanks for the responses!  I don't even know what to ask Dr. Andrei, so I'll wait and email you after my appointment. 
I'm ready for this ride!  I've been ready for a long time but I wanted the time in my life to be "right".  Now it's here.

Hi Amy....I'm a fat person in Hunterdon County....I live in Milford....not far from you!!!  I am just doing my research on the WLS and haven't met with a doctor.

     My appt. went well. I had had blood work and everything is perfect except my white blood cell count (to be expected post-radiation).
     I originally went to have a lap band done, and after his consultation last year, we decided GBP was a better choice for me. (He does not do DS).
     Dr. Andrei was out of network for me, but the hospital & anesthesia services were in network.
     I am an R.N. and unless I had received rave reviews about a surgeon, I was not considering actually doing surgery of any kind. It's serious stuff. :)
     I had a lap band pt. of his share her experiences with me and also a GBP pt..
     After you meet him, you will see why his patients love him so much.

     Post-op nausea in the hospital was the PITS- but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat....

I can't remember EVER wearing a size 10.....but I had my CK capris on today.
I bet I would even wear an 8 or so- if not for my extra skin......

I was thrilled when I hit a normal size 16.....NEVER EVER dreamed I'd get lower than a 14....
and I am in 10's...wow!

Kimi,I just wanna suggest checking out Barix in LAnghorne.It's an awesome facility & bariatric surgery is all they do so they never make anyone feel like the big fatty when you go.I personally love Dr Pupkova shhe's awesome

Hello neighbor I live in Milford, NJ  and am currently finishing my 6 month preop program at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  Have a tentative surgery date for Oct. 8 with Dr Boorse.  This program is very good and I like my Dr very much.  Welcome to this new life adventure. PA bd is more active with people, so I will stay on that bd along with the over 50 bd. Good luck with your appts.

And Kim, I live very close to you...actually had the flowers for my daughter's wedding done by Country Cottage in Milford. 

I can't wait to be a "post-op"!!!
