Has anyone used Demesvar Jean-Baptiste, if so....

Hi,
I am new. My name is Terri . I have a surgery date for 8/4/08. I trust my surgeon, however I am nervous. He will be repairing a hernia and putting in the band as well. How much weight can I expect to lose in the 1st month. My Dr. does not give a fill upon placing the band.

Terri .....I was banded by Dr. JB 3 short months ago (down 32 lbs!).  I was refered to him by 3 friends who had used him  and they absolutley loved him.  I never looked any further and say that he is GREAT!  I saw him yesterday for my 4th fill.  He never rushes you and is always listening and actually "hears" you.  I have needed him at an hours notice and there has never been a problem.  Just knowing that the same 3 folks are in the office at every visit is soothing.....  continuity is very important.  As I read the OH posts daily  and see how bad many lapband surgeons are - I thank my lucky stars for finding him.  Dr. JB's staff  keep you totally informed regarding everything having to do with pre and post op stuff.  I love him....you couldn't have made a wiser/safer choice.  Good-luck ~

DR. J-BAPTISTE IS THE BEST I'VE MET WITH HIM ABOUT TWO MONTHS NOW, AND I FEEL I MADE A GREAT CHOICE. NOW IM WAITING FOR INSURANCE APPROVAL. I WANT TO BE A LOSER LOL ...GOOD LUCK!!

 Hi All, based on all of your fabulous reviews on Dr. JB, I've made an appointment to meet with him, I'm anxious, nervous and excited to start this new chapter of my life.  I really appreciate all of your help.  Has anyone who has used Dr. JB have Oxford Insurance Freedom plan and have trouble getting approved?  I really don't think I will have too much trouble.  I definitely meet the qualifications, I am 301 lbs and 5'4".  Wish me luck!

I had surgery on 3-6-08 with Dr.JB the best thing i've done. The best part may be small but meant a lot to me is that the staff knows you personal. They do not look at a chart for your name when he see you he greet you by name and don't have a chart. That made me feel he cares about what he does and I'm truley blessed.
