squeaking out my insurance approval
I finally have my insurance approval! I had to change insurance July first and my surgeon was so confident that I would be approved he kept my surgery date of July 16th. After many days of back and forth faxing my insurance approved me today! So wednesday I am going in!
I am very nervous and keep reminding myself I didn't make this decision lightly. Any suggestions of what to bring to the hospital? I have chapstick, baby wipes to clean off. Anything else?
Looking forward to being on the losers bench.
Laura
Congratulations Laura,
I am so happy for you. The insurance process can be very stressful, and that's the last thing you need as you begin your journey.
The best thing to bring to the hospital is your calm mental state. They will take good care of you, but you have got to keep up the positive thoughts. You will do well, and I will be praying for you.
My surgery was two weeks ago. I am feeling great and you will be too.
Good luck and please keep us posted.
Hugs,
Denise

Laura,
First of all, CONGRATS on your approval !! It's the first step of a wonderful Journey.
Depending on the type of operation you are having, I would plan on bringing an overnight bag (even if having a band)...just in case. Plan as if you were going away for a day.
In a duffle bag I had a change of clothing (pants, shirt, socks, underwear), along with some slippers, chapstick, toothpaste/brush, etc.
I see your in Denville, so I hope to see you at an upcoming Saint Clare support group meeting. Let me know if there is any other way I can be of assistance.
