Trip For the 4th..

Hey there New Jersey..  I am going to be taking a trip to New York this coming weekend for the Macy's Fireworks display and I would like to know the best location to view the fireworks..  I have done some research on about.com and here is link I have been to.. http://manhattan.about.com/od/eventsandattractions/a/nycjuly fourth.htm I thought about doing the Rosevelt Island thing but wasn't sure.. I would also need some info on how to get from Newark airport area to the city..  Would you please help a Fellow OH'er out...Any info would be appreciated..

Hey, you look great. I can help you with transportation. If you go to the ground transportation desk at either terminal when you get off your flight you have several options. There is a bus called Coach which costs $ 25.00 round trip then there are shuttle services door to door ranging from $19.00 to $21.00 one way. You can also catch NJ Transit train which is $15.00 one way to penn Station. There is also a NJ Transit bus # 107 at the North terminal that takes you to Port Authority Bus Terminal for about $5.80 one way. You can get to the North terminal by taking the P6 bus and ask tthe driver to let you off near the bus stop for NJ Transit. There is also Path train service in which you can catch the 62 bus to Newark Penn Station for $1.35 and then catch the Path train for $1.75 but you must switch at Journal Square for the 33rd Streeet Station. If you tell me where you're staying I can give you advice on which is the best option. Oh and of course there is taxi service depending on where you are going ranging from $50.00 to $ 80.00. I think the best way to see the fire works if you don't mind spending a little money is actually on the water..... The circle line boats usually have a special trip just for the fireworks and you get to see them up close....I did it one year and it was great.......you may want to check there website.....just google circle line cruise....hope this helps angela July 4th Cruise Make summer in the city extra special with a festive Fourth of July Cruise.
