hi lAURA im fine with the low fat mayo and have always used it.   dont use the fat free though, cause we do need some fat in out diet. as to frozen meals, i could not eat them early out, my pouch wold not handle them, but im two years out and i eat them once a week or so.   everyone is different though, some ppl could tolerate them much sooner than me.  although in the early months, that would have been two meals for me. its also hard to find frozen meals without any starch in them, i.e. pasta , rice, etc, and even now two years out, i eat very little pasta or rice, so be careful with that. good luck to you jacki

I did not like previous versions of it but I use Hellman's lowfat mayo and it is fine.  I use so little of it if I did not like the taste I would use the regular version.  I do eat Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine, etc on occasion.

Thank you both  for your help.  I am just trying to consider healthy, but quick options.

Hi Laura I've used low fat mayo without a problem also.  You just have to remember to keep the serving size small - you don't want the calories or to create the "slider" affect (using condiments that cause food to slide right through your pouch so you never feel full). I haven't tried frozen meals yet because of the salt content - most are quite high and I'm trying to keep that low right now. Leftovers from dinner are good for lunch because what most people would throw out after a meal is usually a good size for us - especially in the beginning. Good Luck! Vicki

That is a good point about the mayo. I guess it is a balancing act between keeping things moist enough to stay down and not too moist to slide through. I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea of how little I will be eating.  Good thing I started getting info early.  Thanks Vicki.

I do fine with low fat mayo or a little regular mayo. I just don't like fat free...yuk.

I don't usually eat frozen meals as they are so processed. I have eaten some frozen meals from Amy's which is vegetarian and less processed, and I've done fine with those since about 6 months out when I first tried. I can not eat an entire entree, though.

I do like Amys stuff also.  My kids eat that becasue her line is natural and sometimes organic. Funny how I feed them the good stuff, I need to remember I need healthy options too. Thanks.
