Ocean County Weight Loss Bariatric Surgery Support
Ocean County Weight Loss Support runs a couple of excellent groups....... if you are considering surgery and want to get the REAL story from genuine people that have been there, not just talking the talk, but walking the WALK, you should check out their meetings.
There are two meetings a month, one in Toms River and one in Lakewood. The group was the closest thing to family I have experienced in a long time as an adult, and I was really sad to have been in the hinterlands of Maine for last year or so... these people are the ones to get next to if you have questions, seek real life advice, or want to hear what people have experienced.
If you are considering bariatric Surgery, I would urge you to take the time to come to an Ocean County Weight Loss Surgery support group meeting. This group is very special in that its no BS... its real people, sharing from the heart, and they welcome new comers with open arms. Its peer to peer, and while sometimes there is a featured speaker and a chance to interact with Bariatric professionals in different areas such as plastic surgery and nutrition, the best thing I always loved about this group is, was and always will be the people.
So if you have some fear, need some questions answered, or seek information, check ou the Ocean County Weight Loss Bariatric surgery Support groups.. they are awesome IM telling you.

Hey Timmy Ray!
So good to see you posting again! I haven't been to group since I went back to work, last September, but I would like to say that they are an amazing group of people! The best thing about the group is the people.
I have been trying to get back there.....and I will soon. I keep trying to fit the meetings into my "new" schedule. OK, 9 months isn't really a new schedule, but it's been very hard for me to adjust to having an office job again. Getting up at 5:00am, punching in (well-time keeping when signing into my computer in the morning) and having to meet production and quality standards has been very challenging to say the least. I am working for Horizon BCBSNJ, as a principal claims clerk, sitting behind a desk, 25 hours a week right now.... trying to cut it back to 20 hours. But, on my days off, I am doing the drug and alcohol testing, so I am busy.
My daughter, Caitlin, graduates high school this Wednesday! She is enrolled in OCC for September. She wants to be an elmentary teacher, and didn't quite have the grades to go to "Temple" in Philly, so she will staying home this coming year. If she does well, she can go away next year.
Daniel, 17 now, will be a junior next year and plays football and wrestles for Brick High. He is working with his Dad for the summer and saving his pennies for a Dodge Stealth he hopes to purchase in July when he gets his license.
Conor, who turns 16 in September, is still my champion wrestler. He was a freshman this past year and made it to REGIONS! He did great. The diabetes hasn't slowed down my little monster at all! This past Friday was his one year anniversary of being diagnosed with the diabetes, and we have so much to be thankful for in the past year. He is healthier than he has ever been, he eats perfectly! He wrestled in the states in eight grade at 90 pounds (took third there) and he is now a very happy, healthy 147 pounds! He has grown 5 inches in the past year and gained almost 60 pounds! He is doing great. His Varsity record at Brick this past year was 27-2. He got an award for more than 25 wins and the highest takedown count for the team.
Danny is very busy with construction and doing well. He is still the best man I have ever known. Things are good here, I would LOVE to hear how you are doing too! Will you be coming down south to visit us all over the summer? How is work? Are you in school now? PLEASE come and see us soon, we miss you. You are loved and missed at group.
Oh, and my gastric bypass surgery was almost 2 years ago now. It will be two years on Aug. 31'st. I have lost 120 pounds and am currently below my goal weight, feeling good and not stuggling at all. Thanking God for the opportunity to have the surgery that has so much improved my quality of life.
Love,
Michelle Brennan
