Advice please?
Hello all! I am 8 days away from lap band surgery and I'm collecting advice. Please...bring it on! What I'm looking for: Something you wish you'd known at the beginning of your journey.....Something somebody said to you that really stuck with you or was deeply helpful.....Something like that. The one important piece of information or advice you really want me to have. I'm going to put them all in my notebook. Seriously. I'm really going to make this work, and you all are my partners here. Thanks in advance. Ruth
Hi Ruth,
First of all....good luck and take a deep breath.
After surgery please...
Start to walk, every day!
Go to support groups.

Hi Ruth,
Congrats on your upcoming surgery. My best advise it to follow your surgeon's rules and to stay hydrated. Especially in this heat. If your nutritionist tells you to get in 48 to 64 oz of fluid a day then make sure that you do so. Being dehydrated can make you feel miserable, cranky and exhausted. Lets hear it for FLUIDS!!
