6 months since my RNY, already only 15 lbs to goal. Life has been getting in the way and I am turning into even more of a lurker so I figured it was time for a me update.  I see my surgeon on June 16th and hope my iron level is back up, having no other complications, and feeling wonderful!!!!! Checked my BMI and at 28.3 it said I am overweight and no longer qualify for bariatric surgery.Wish the hairloss would stop!! That is the only thing I hate about having had my RNY!! Execpt that I do know it will eventually stops.  Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be soon!!!!

Clothes are a size 10/12 and M/L depending on the style.  Amazing since pre-op wore a size 2x or 22/24. Shopping is difficult now. I am trying to get  away from the baggy style of the past, but I have to re-learn what will look good on me and have new areas to hide (bat wings and tummy oh wait I always hid those areas anyway :P). Does not help that I really don't like the styles available in "affordable" (ie Goodwill) clothing and since I am still loosing cannot afford the "good" stuff. Eating well and very little in the way of food issues. The only thing s I have some trouble with () are hamburgers and hotdogs. Hmm think that is going to make the summer BBQ's a bit difficult. I have had a few episodes of mild dumping, and a few vagal reactions, but overall nothing too severe and I am very happy. No more medications (except vitamins), no more cpap, no more high blood pressure, and only occasional back and hip discomfort. Wish I had not let my fears rule and done this years ago!!!! DH gets home Sunday from a trip so I will get him to take some pics then and update my profile and avatar.

I want to say thank you to everyone here at OH. I do not post much, but I read posts quite a lot, and everyone here has been a wonderful source of support and inspiration .
