Hi, I'm seeing him on Friday and I want to know what questions to ask him, I don't want to botch this up, I want to have a revision.  Has anyone seen him, what's he like?  I'm afraid to get weighed there for some reason.  Should I be totally honest on the papers or leave somethings out. I'm on a lot of pain medications because I had a knee replacement in December I'm afraid to tell him all the meds I'm on I know I should, but I'm kind of afraid to, I want to have the surgery soon and hopefully it will, I had my original surgery 10 years ago, anyone that can help me please do. Thank, Abbey

Abbey, Dr. Brolin will not be able to help you if you're not honest with him. If you had a knee replacement in December and are still on pain meds is there a problem with your recovery? Is it weight related? Revisions are harder to get approved than initial surgeries so if you don't level with him he may have a harder time getting it approved.  Kathy

Hi Kathy, You're right I'll be straight foward and see where it takes me, I alredy called my insurance company and the said as ;ong as it is medically necessary it will be done, and yes I think I'm still in so much pain because of my weight I gained 100 pounds back. I also have other medical problems as well.  Thanks for putting it into perspective for me. Abbey

I  seen Dr. Brolin last year when I first decided to have WLS.   He is a very nice man.   His whole office staff is very nice.     Be honest with him up front.  He will find out anyway when the  paperwork is sent to the insurance company.   The only reason he did not do my procedure is because I decided for the lapband which Dr. Chau did and he also works in the same office.   GOOD LUCK

I had my surgery with Dr. Chau---same group. Both are extremely supportive and helpful. I ended up back in the hospital a few weeks after my surgery due to an allergic reaction and Dr. Chau stopped in every day to see me.
