Dr. Greenbaum

Anyone here have surgery with Dr. David Greenbaum? My first appt. with him is on friday and I was wondering if anyone had any feed back on the experience of his office and him period. I am going for a DS.

Also, I live in Montclair and their support meeting is closed. Are there any nearby support groups I coulld attend? I've tried Hackensack, didn't like it at all. Thanks

Looking over some past postings, here is the best information I could find. According to the following posting: Englewood Hospital in Englewood use to have them.  Not sure if they still do.  Use to be on a Tuesday once a month.  201-894-3000 .. (thanks to Hessie28) ..

Also, there is another group that meets at Morristown Memorial Hospital . The meeting is the second Tuesday of each month.

and a group meets every 4^th Thursday at Saint Clare’s in Dover . Gastric Bypass patients meet between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.. Banded patients meet 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m..

Not many DSers hang out here.  I know there are quite a few people on the DS board who have had surgery with Dr. Greenbaum.  You should try posting this there as well.  The only support groups I know of are at Morristown Hospital and St. Clare's Dover.

Did you call Mountainside Hospital.. I had heard a while ago they were starting a WLS program Maybe they could help you.. 

im going fort the ds also and with dr. G i have everything done but the insurance co. came back and i have to see the nut. three more times(my drs office notes werent good enough) everyone at greenabums office are very nice hes right to the point (i like that ) the girl tina who handles everything is great  i went to him for the lapband thinking if i lose it slowly i wont have excess skin he told me flat out it wont help you lose enough weight to be healthy and no matter what i do ill have the skin ....my main thing is i want to be healthy and he told me the ds would work great for me and he could do it lapro. witch is a plus then having it open if you have anymore questions email me i have no problem answering anything

I had an open DS with Dr G. about 7 months ago. I really like him and his office staff. I had no big complications. Even though the hospital is not a huge medical center my care was very good and without problems.
