Went to Boot Camp!!

Yesterday was a very hectic, and busy day for me and my husband. I was scheduled for boot camp at 7:30 a.m., see my surgeon at 11:00 a.m. and the nutritionist at 1:00 p.m. Whew!!!! That was a marathon! My husband was not a happy camper, especially while at boot camp. He doesn't speak any english and being their was totally useless to him and he was upset at me for dragging him with me. Boot camp was very informative and we even visited a lap band patient who had her surgery done on Wednesday. We were shown the wing we'll be staying in and we were given demonstrations on how to use the baricare bed. Boot camp was longer than expected and I was late getting to the surgeon's office, which didn't really matter because he was swamped with patients as it was. Because he was running behind I was told to see the nutritionist first. My husband really enjoyed that and he even made an appointment to see her and start eating healthy. After seeing the nutritionist I had to wait a little bit longer for my doctor to see me. I'm set to go, weeeeeee!!!! My surgery's on Wednesday. Nereida

Melissa, my husband is still skeptical about me having the surgery but I guess it kinda helped him visiting the patient that just had the lap band done. He was breathing a little bit easier after that. My mind is soooooo made up and there's absolutely nothing he can do to make me change my mind. He's resigned to that fact. My full liquid diet is driving me crazy, crazy, crazy, but I'm happy. Nereida
