I have no advice on your doc -- just wanted to share I have a 3 year old girl as well - 4/7.  They are the best!  In fairness, now I have to put in a plug for 8 year old boys.  Have one of those, too. :) Best wishes to you on your journey.  I remember that feeling of I can't wait for this to happen so I can move on to the next page!

Just wanted to say that you sound so enthusiastic - great attitude to have and even more important to keep.  I don't have any info on your surgeon and am an RNY-er myself so I don't have to much info on banding, but welcome to the boards. Pam

While I can't help you with your Doctor .. nor do I have a little girl or husband , the only advice I can give you is RELAX and be excited about your new life.  Ok, I know it's kinda contradictory to say Relax and be Excited, but when I say RELAX - I mean about the operation (and what leads up to it). I can’t rave enough about the operation. I’m a big sissy when it comes to pain,, and I had none. I was back to normal in two days, and since the operation I have no (or very little) hunger pangs. It’s amazing.

You may hit a stumbling block or two along the way to your operation, but that’s expected - and in the end, it all works out.

Please feel free to ask any specific questions you have. Either via the board (and as I newbie I can tell you the folks here are the most helpful bunch you’ll ever find), or email.

Good luck to you !! I wish you all the best !!
