My 2 year anniversary
Hello,
I have posted from time to time on this board and also lurk a bit. Yesterday was my 2 year anniversary. I can't believe how time flies and how far I have come in the past 2 years. I am down about 103lbs, was down as far as 108 but fluctuate up and down. I have remained pretty steady for the past year. I had a tummy tuck this past September, a breast lift this past February and just got approval for my thighs which I may wait until September to do. I look good in clothes now and can wear a tankini!!! When I first had the surgery I thought I had made a big mistake, but now I don' t feel that way at all. If I hadn't had the surgery I could very well be topping 300lbs by now and that is a scarey thought. I hope to stay successful this year by watching what I eat more closely and adding exercise on a more regular basis, those are my goals!
I am glad I chose the bypass over the band, as I know that had contributed to my success. I am glad I made this decision because If I had let others guide me I would have never had the surgery in the first place. Too many people trying to talk me out of it. Now they see that I made the right decision! Good luck to all those trying to maintain and to those just starting their WLS journey, believe me it is worth it in the end.

Amy,
