NJ PCPs

Hi everyone...I post regularly on the DSers boards but figured I would come here and post a question.  I am moving to Toms River next week so I need to find a PCP who is knowledgable about the DS.  Can anyone through me out some names? Thanks everyone!

hi there i live in manchester which is one town over from Toms River. im sorry i dont know a pcp who is knowledgable about ds'ers in particular.  i have used two doctors in the area that are weight loss surgery friendly though. one is dr. mary beth cilento and her PA, Debbie.  they are in Toms River. the other is dr. heather robberson in Lakewood. we have a wonderful peer support group also which is open to everyone.  if you would like the information when you get settled just let me know. good luck with your move. jacki

Hey Jacki,  thanks so much for your feedback...I am going to give both docs a call and hopefully they are accepting new patients.  I would love some info on th support group... I KNOW WHERE Manchester is, we looked at a few homes there, and WOW there are some beauties... Thanks again. Diana

there is a great peer support group that meets the first friday of every month at Community medical center in toms river at 7pm there is always a reminder here on the jersey board a few days before the meeting. this group is free and open to everyone. there is also a smaller offshoot of this group that meets on the third monday of every month at Kimball medical center in lakewood.  thats the one i go to. get in touch when u arrive and we can talk by phone if you like regards, jacki
