Recovering from surgery

I have a question. How long does it take to recover from lap band surgery? My lap band surgery is scheduled for May 21, but I'm a teacher and I was thinking of being out for a week and a half. Finals are coming around and I have to be there to give my students their finals and input their final grades. My job is not strenuous and I think I'll be able to manage. I read in another post that the person had her surgery in Mexico, was driven to San Diego after her surgery and flew back to Seattle. Am I being realistic in thinking that I'll be okay to return to work so soon after my lap band surgery? Nereidaq

I had lap rny bypass & was able to return to work after 10 days & I do hair all day.LApband is less invasive so you should be good to go.
