Hey Michelle... okay... where were you sitting?  LOL That was NOT like a normal meeting, let me tell you!  First of all, there haven't been that many people there in quite a while.  Secondly, I couldn't believe how many lap-banders there were all of a sudden! Annette is the bariatric nurse coordinator for HUMED... she's not a NUT... and she doesn't usually have a structured meeting.  It does tend to be more Q&A.  I may shoot her an email and suggest that she incorporate more of an agenda for the meetings.  I think I can get away with that now that I've been attending for over a year, right? I have to tell you, though, that I went home disappointed from that meeting, as well. Give us another chance - and introduce yourself next time!  I did a quick scan, but wasn't able to pick you out, and couldn't remember your name. ~wendy

Hey Marta.  I've been to those meetings, and when I was there, it really seemed to be geared toward lap-banders.  Nothing wrong with that, but as the only (at least on 2 occassions) bypass patient there, it also didn't seem to be all that applicable to me.

I know they split it between band and bypass for a while, but didn't have a very good turnout for the bypass nights - I know I never got any info about it, and Gio did have my email at one point.

I may try them again... I have 2 cousins that attend there.
