Take everyone's advice and eat smaller portions very sssssssssllllllllllllllllooooooooooooowwwwwwwlllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyy
I’ll admit, I am a “freak” when it comes to this. I hate to vomit. I chew my food 30 times, and then wait another 30 seconds before I have another bite (so the whole process takes about 1 minute). Others find this method bizarre, but it works for me.
Also, talk to your doctor. Since you had the band, your stomach may still be a little swollen. You may need to go back on semi-solid food for a bit longer. My doctor recommended solid foods one month after the post-procedure.
Good luck
I am way late on posting. Eggs are actually the hardest thing for most people. For whatever reasons - they don't sit well.
I still eat a lot of nonfat cottage cheese with splenda and cinnamon (tastes like rice pudding) and nonfat ricotta heated up with sf sauce and mozz with garlic powder (tastes like an italian dish), greek yogurt with sf flavored syrup, 2% cheesesticks. Deli meat also sits well with me. It took a very very long time for me to be "comfortable" eating food - and sometimes it's still difficult. Try some ground beef (like a hamburger, jus****ch the fat content) with some sf catsup or low fat mayo. Just be sure to chew chew chew and pause between bites. Make sure you wait for 2-3 mins in between each bite. Use an egg timer if you need to. And take very small bites Some people used a baby spoon to help portion their bites out.
Hang in there - it gets better.
