Reminder-May 2nd Toms River OCWLS Support Group Meeting - Plastic Surgery Presentation
Just a reminder that next Friday, May 2nd at 7pm is our regularly scheduled OCWLS Toms River meeting at Community Medical Center in Auditorium A.
Additionally, I wanted to alert everyone that at this meeting, we will be having a guest speaker making a presentation and answering any questions on everything you wanted to know about Plastic Surgery after massive weight loss.
Dr. Mike Nagy is a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Toms River. He has clinical privileges at CMC, KMC, OMC,and Jersey Shore. Although jis practice is primarily cosmetic, it includes many massive weight loss patients.
Dr Nagy trained at the University of Mississippi Medical Center under Dr. John McCraw. While a fellow he was very involved in the planning and establishment of the Bariatric Plastic Surgery Workshop (founded by Dr. McCraw). At their first meeting held in 2005, he was responsible for the scientific program- coordinating the talks of many of the leaders in Massive Weight Loss plastic surgery. Additiionally, he chaired three lectures and chaired a panel on breast surgery in the massive weight loss patient.
Not everyone may be ready to consider plastic surgery in their WLS journey; however, we urge everyone on the WLS journey to attend. You will definately get some information that you may be able to use at some point in the future. We are looking forward to having Dr Nagy as our guest speaker next Friday.
OK - now who is planning to attend?
Also, for those who are interested, we will still have the "Meeting after the Meeting" .
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me.
Hugs,
Nannette

Hi Susie -- We meet twice per month -- once in Toms River and once in Lakewood. The Toms River meeting is held the first Friday of each month at Community Medical Center, Aud A at 7-9pm.
The Lakewood meeting is held the third Monday of each month at Kimball Medical's Center for Healthy Living, 198 Prospect Street, 7-9pm.
I am one of the facilitators of both meetings. Let me know if you need any more info -- we have both RNY and lapband patients and it is a peer-to-peer support group.
Hugs,
Nannette
