I am 10 days away from surgery today....which a few of you may know means liquids only. I think if I can get through today and tomorrow doing this it wont be too hard. I have got my eye on the prize a nice cute pair of size 15 jeans I bought myself for my 26th birthday this past Saturday.  I hung them right on my closet door and I am working for them. I am ready to play with my kids!  But to be honest I could still use a little support!

Hi Vicki, Last time you posted you were going for your Pre Admissions testing.  So everything must have been okay?  Were you approved by your Insurance company?  I don't recall you telling us that?  Anyway if you were approved I am so happy for you!!!!  You have been trying to get this surgery done for along time now.  Well I will be praying for you on May 2nd!!!!  Let us know how you are doing!!!  If you have any questions remember we are all here for you Good-Luck!!!!!

I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers!!!!!

Vicki,

Over the next 10 days, when you feel the craving to “eat” something - stop and  think of your ultimate goal. Also think of your love ones, and how in no time all  these crave feelings will be a thing of the past.

If you’re like me, there aren’t many foods out there that you haven’t eaten more then once in your life. Someday you’ll be able to have it again. Remember, this is much different then DIETING!! In the future, you’ll still be able to eat the foods you like - but in smaller (healthier) portions. When I stopped and realized that, my desire for the food went away.

Also consider this: Every seconds that ticks by, mean you're closer to your goal

I am here to support you in any way I can.

Hi Vicki Just keep thinking it's only 10 days.... 9 days... 8 days... etc.   and it's ALOT less time than it took you to get this far!   You are doing a great job and will be joining the loser's bench very soon! You've got full support here if you need it too!  Just drop me a line. Good Luck & hang in there a few more days.... Vicki

begin day 2.   Not so bad in the morning.  But cooking dinner for my husband and kids, well that wasnt as fun as I expected, and I wasnt expecting fun.  LOL

Anyone have any helpful tips for that?  LOL!  I was thinking about maybe making some ready made meals and freezing them. All I know I can do that with though is lasagna and ziti.  Any other ideas??  I am opened to any of them.
