Somethings in my stomach?

I was touching my stomach, along the incision line, between my breast and belly button, and low and behold, found a bump.  feels like the size of a walnut, and actually feels like a nut in there, or a ball.  I am freaking out.  What could it be?  Is it a hernia?  Never knew it was there until I felt it.

Hi Michelle, I can't imagine what it could be.  You should go to the doctor and have it checked out.  It probably isn't anyhthing.  I will pray that you are okay.  Let us know what you find out.

I would say, just like Melissa, contact your doctor.

Good luck,

Miriam

So I talked to my surgeon's office.  They are convinced it's a hernia.  They said they'll do nothing about it, unless I start developing problems as a result.   They'll wait until my weight stabilizes, and do surgery then.

use it for free amusement  play with it in the bathtub -- or when you are bored watching tv -- if it dont bother ya then don't bother it :)  i think i got something with the belly button --it gets tender -- maybe it just feels naked cuz it's not surrounded by it's fat buddies anymore -- i don't know  -- but it's not that much of a bother lol  love ya roberta

Glad you talked to the doctor - I thought it might be a hernia - just be careful with lifting and what not.  If you develop severe suddent pain in that area, please get to an er or a doctor - there is always the chance that the hernia can get "strangled" through the muscle in which it is popping out which could cause damage.  Rare, but it happens.  Otherwise, the surgeon is right, you don't have to do anything about it unless it causes problems.
