Wednesday Coffee Talk

Well, Good Wednesday morning everyone!  Today's cofffe talk should make more sense now that I am not on pain meds and trying to type!  HEHEHE  The foot surgery went great.  Minimal pain so far except one time yesterday when I forgot I had even had the surgery and down I went with all the  weight on that foot.  OUCH!  Bet I don't forget again.  LOL  Hope you slept as good as I did.  It felt wonderful to rest that good too.

Our challenge today is to respect your body.  Throughout our lifetime of being obese, we didnt care for our bodies like we should have.  Sure we were clean, neat, and tidy, but we allowed it to be stretched all out of whack, mistreated it by overeating, and not excersising.  Now that we are thinner, working on getting thinner, or where ever we are in our WLS walk, let's take care of the body we have.  Let's excercise more.  Let's walk, run, swim, lift weights, whatever, just get active and do something to take care of the temple which houses your mind and soul.  YOU!   So, who's up this morning?  What cha sipping on?  Me?  I am enjoying some wonderful maxwell house regular blend with creamer and sweet-n-low.  Sure is good too!   Ya'll have an awesome Wednesday!

I've just started coming back to the NJ forum, and I have to tell you, Randall, I enjoy your "coffee talks".  I'm up, at work, and having just finished breakfast, waiting my 30 minutes to continue with my French roast - caffinated.  I usually drink caf-free but took a wrong pill this morning, and, well, let's say I'm lucky I made it to work in one piece.  Should have pulled over because I was so SO SLEEPY! You "hit the nail on the head" (or some other ludicrous saying) with your topic of the day.  I am, more than likely at the end of my major weight loss (still hoping for a few pounds here and there) and I DESPERATELY need to tuen my head around to focus on the success and appreciating what I;ve done and strategize to continue "respecting my body" so that, with maintenance, i continue my success. It's hard (maintenance was ALWAYS my issue after a diet - I'm sure that's true for most people) to not be so involved in the day-to-day to let a few minor things slip - and we know what comes after that 0 the major stuff.  I have found myself doing that over the past week or so and fortunately I caught it and started back along the right road for me.  I worked too hard not to respect my body to let the little things escalate to the big things and to undo all this good work. Thanks for the words of wisdom! Cyndi
