Completely OT grooming animals

I have two cats - one is very "fluffy" and his fur is like that of rabbit fur - and sticks out ALL over the place.   The other one is a more stiff haired cat.  They both shed ALL the time, and of course, now more than ever.  I have tried every brush on the market, wipes, sprays, even giving them baths in the sink to help remove the hair.  Alas, my house is still COVERED in fur.

NO MORE!!!  I had seen an infomercial for "The Furminator" which I did not believe AT ALL.  I laughed at the commercial.  It showed a Golden Retriever with piles and piles and piles of fur after one grooming.  C'mon now.....

A girlfriend of mine, however, tried it and RAVED about it.  So I finally caved.  I wouldn't buy it from a regular website as it can cost up to 40 freaking dollars.  I found one on ebay that I got for $25 brand new in sealed package.

I just groomed BOTH of my cats - and literally have 1 1/2 WaWa shopping bags of fur to show for it, along with probably another half a bag on my clothes.  It was simply amazing - and the cats seemed to enjoy it as well.  No, my cats are not bald.  Their fur is shiny, lies flat, no "under coat tufts" of fur sticking out - and now even the stiff haired cat is soft.  This is after one brushing.

My GF does say she brushes her dog every day and has noticeably less fur on her furniture and no more "tumbleweeds" of fur rolling across her hard wood floors.  I don't think I'll do my cats every day - but probably every other day.

So, if you need a better brush......look for the "furminator" They have three sizes - I bought the medium size and that seemed just perfect for my two cats, who are pretty big (about 11 pounds for the one, and 8 pounds for the other)

My two cats are black and white (tuxedo style cat) and the fluffy one is grey and white.  I wear navy blue to work.  Hence the roller in my work bag and getting to work 10 minutes early EVERY night - because I look like a combination of BOTH cats by the time I leave for work!  I swear, I could pull my uniforms out of my dryer, put them on outside, and STILL be covered in hair this time of year, LOL (and besides, I don't think my neighbors would appreciate me getting dressed outside anywho...) Thanks for noticing the ticker....it has been a simply amazing journey! Pam
