ok i use a few my favorites are the atkins bars, they come in many flavors some are meal size and some are snack size. i also like the south beach bars. ohyeah makes a wafer protein bar which i get at vitamin shoppe. you will have to try a few and see what you like best. the ones i mentioned above are high protein and low in carbs and sugar etc. good luck, jacki

EAS has a AdvantEdge Carb Control bar.... i like double chocolate crisp 17g protein, 4g net carbs silver packaging....  i get them at Pathmark (and clip those EAS coupons)....     For a cheaper snack, try one ounce of cheddar cheese,  can go low fat if you're watching fats... but no carbs and 7 or 8 g of protein per ounce, if I remember correctly.    I buy a brick of cheese,  slice it up into one ounce slices, and baggie it for work.  Costs wwwaaayyy less than a protein bar  (but I do LIKE the chocolate bars, so I switch back and forth)                                         Mary C

I'm not a huge fan of protein bars - many leave an aftertaste to me. 1/2 cup ff ricotta has 20gm of protein.  Sweeten w/ splenda and cinnamon for a rice pudding like snack. Greek Yogurt has anywhere from 13-15gm protein/6 ounces and they have nonfat varieties.  Sweeten with splenda and fresh berries or sf jam.  Or splenda/cinnamon and sf apple preserves for a yummy treat.  I have not tried it, but another friend puts in about 1/3 packet of sf jello crystals in hers and loves it. 2 lowfat/nonfat cheese sticks (polly o) has 16gm protein (8 in each) Here's a sample menu for me to get protein in: B: 1/2 cup ricotta w/ splenda and cinnamon 20gm S:  Fage (greek yogurt) with berries 15gm L:  Small salad w/ 3 ounces chicken 21gm S:  2 cheese sticks (sometimes just one) 16gm D:  3 mini meatballs with sf spaghetti sauce/cheese and some veggies 21gm S:  1 sf/ff fudge pop 3gm TOTAL:  96gm protein. It took me awhile to get to this point - and there are many many days where I can't finish everything.  However - my protein goal is 70 and my nut said not to exceed 85gm due to potential kidney problems.  The menu above is probably not what I would eat in one day because it would be to much protein - but it's a way for you to se how to get in protein and stuff.

I use the Atkins Advantage bars. I get them in Sam's Club (they're much cheaper there. The Caramel Double Chocolate Crunch is my favorite, but the Caramel Peanut Butter aren't bad either.
