I needed to share this!!!!
Melissa, best of luck tomorrow.Your grandson is lucky he's got an awesome gramma. The sad thing is as soon as he's yours DYFS doesn't wanna know anything. My boss adopted her God daughter 13 years ago.Her birth parents kept her in a crib for the first 3 years of her life while they got high & drunk & had sex on the floor.Besides being neglected & understimulated this girl was born addicted to 18 different drugs & suffers from Fetal Alcohol syndrom. It's a miracle she survived at all.But to look at her you'd neverknow, she's a hot little blonde so noone can see her disabilities. It's sad.Now at 16 all hell's breaking loose & my boss is on her own.Dyfs pretty much told her"you adopted her she's your problem"
The best thing for your grandson will most likely be to get out from under their thumb.Good luck HUGS & PRAYERS
Mellisa, My heart goes out to you and your grandson. It is so sad to say that the system sometimes fails us and our children. I'm so sorry that you have had to go through this. Please know that I WILL be praying for you. I already have, and will so. God bless you for ALL you are doing for Zaijhon!
For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"
good luck today -- wish i was home so we could talk on the phone
hugs
