thanks jacki! update: went to see dr. noyan today and had my feeding tube removed so no more hoses and drains in me, yay!  he also put me onto the next diet phase, puree's which i seem to be tolerating well...i wanted a treat so we puree'd some chili (mild) and also had some mashed potato's, MMMMmmmm....flavor!.....my next appointment is in 3 weeks but i was told to call him in 2 weeks if i feel im ready for solid foods...i feel ready now so i'll definintely be calling him...also finally met with the physical therapist who showed me some exercises to build my strength back up...i'm supposed to get up and walk a bit at least once an hour....

Glad to hear your tubes and stuff are out!  Must be an AWESOME feeling. FYI don't be surprised if solid food throws you for a loop.  I was MORE than ready to start solid foods - or so I thought.  It's a totally different eating experience.  I was nascious more times than not.  Hind site 20/20 I think it was from eating to fast.   I found myself going back to full liquids (like puddings and yogurts and milk based products) for a LOT of my meals once I was on regular foods.  I just felt better. Best of luck - you are doing FABULOUSLY Pam

hey adam glad u are feeling better  but PLease go slow with things. our new pouchies are delicate even though we may not realize it. also add one new food at a time, otherwise you wont know which food might give you a problem, just in case one does. im so happy to hear you are feeling better. hugs to you and your family, jacki
