Lapband Surgeon in South New Jersey???
I'm using Dr. Adam Goldstein at Virtua in Voorhees, but surgery is in Marlton.
Very good post -op program, but costly =$1700.00, includes nutrition & psych consults & 1 yr
post-op & unlimited nutrition & support classes,weekly.
Dr. Goldstein does only lapband & Dr. Kipnis does the RNY procedure.
Good luck in your search!!

Hijack!
Hey Jan! Just wanted to point out the post I just made above that starts with "NB"...those of us over on the Virtua New Beginnings website are talking about trying to use this board to communicate since the Virtua site is so cumbersome to use. Since you're part of our group I thought I'd point it out!
Oh, and for those who think the $1700 fee is un-necessary... let me share with you that I didn't use Virtua as my hospital, I actually used a surgeon up in N. Jersey because he accepted my insurance and I preferred him... I decided not to use his program (since he was so far away) and to pay for the program here that Virtua has...it is worth the money. You have nutritionists, nurses and a counselor (I guess she's a psychologist?) "on-call" via email and phone to answer your questions plus you get to weigh in weekly and attend nutrition classes and support group that are well ran and organized. I didn't attend the "before" part...only the "after" part of the program...so my fee was around $1,000...worth every penny.

hi there and welcome
we are from lindenwold and had our surgery with matt kirkland in philly --we had rny but he also does the lap band procedure -- you can look him up through OH also -- and his group does not have a $1700 fee attached -- free support groups -- free nutritionist after the $200 initial fee -- 20 months later and 14 months later and we still use the nutrionist for FREE -- good deal -- large gastroenterologist practice -- not limited to bariatrics --he also did my husbands hernia repair and a friends gallbladder -- he accepts insurance and his office will walk you thru every step of the process -- good luck -- he's at 8th and sprice right over the ben franklin -- takes me 15 minutes from lindenwold with no traffic -- i've never waited more than 15 minutes after arrival before i was in the exam room
good luck

I'm not sure exactly where your location is. I live in Monmouth County, Port Monmouth NJ. I chose to go to Barix Clinics, which is actually in Langhorne Pa. Fabulous facility that ONLY does bariatric surgery (Well, actually, a friend of mine who is post op from there just had her hernia repair there, too, so they do things related to their post op patients as well)
For me it is about an hour and half - but it may or may not be closer to you.
Sorry for the vagueness - me and geography never did get along.
Their website is www.barixclinics.com They have a HUGE following (myself included) on the pa board as well here on OH.
