3 month anniversary update
Hi all!
I haven't posted in a while...lots going on...but wanted to update my biggest supporters. As of last Tuesday, my 3 month check-up, I am down a total of 81lbs! I still can't believe this isn't a dream. I feel great and all my labs are normal except for my thyroid....my synthroid needs to be increased. The happiness was short lived though because on Friday my husband was admitted to the hospital. He turned jaundice....with a bilirubin of 20.4! He was diagnosed with cirrhosis. I have no idea what the future holds, he came home on Tuesday with a bilirubin of 19.3 and it's now Friday and he is still yellow. As a matter of fact he looks more yellow to me. He has an appt. with the G.I. doctor today so we'll see what's gonna happen. If you guys could, sneak in a little prayer for him too. As always thanks for all the good wishes and advice.
Hugs, Judy
Judy,
Your husband and family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Out of curiosity, if I'm not being to forward, do they know what caused it? Best of luck to him.
And your success is simply AMAZING!! I don't recall what you started out this journey at - but I am three months and have lost "only" 40 pounds....but I was a "light weight" and am very happy with my success so far. You are obviously doing an AMAZING job!! Keep up the great work!
Pam
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
Hi Pam,
My husband has cirrhosis due to alcohol abuse. Although I don't know if he is an alcoholic......he hasn't had a drink since last Wednesday and isn't going through D.T.'s or anything but he should have stopped years ago. Now I pray to God it isn't too late. We go to the doctors today so we'll see what the game plan is.
As far as your "ONLY" weight loss.......that is awesome and remember we all lose weight at a different pace. I had more weight to lose than you and started out heavier. I am about half way to my total weight loss...I;m very proud of myself because this was in no way an "easy" task or an "easy"way out. Thank you for all of your continued support and love. I'll keep everyone posted.
Hugs, Judy
