5 Day Pouch Test......Day#4

Well, Day 4 went very well. Eggs for breakfast, scrambled....I ate slower and though I wasnt able to finish both eggs, I started to feel full and stopped. My pouch still says "when" and I listen to it and stop. Sometimes I just need a reminder to listen (like yesterday).    Mid morning Jello, some hot tea and before I knew it, it was lunch time....I wasn't really even feeling hungry, but knew I had to get my protein in. A little tuna and I was good for the afternoon.   Drink, Drink, Drink.....dont forget to get your water in....I still am taking in about 125 ounces a day.    For dinner, some baked Talapia, and a little later some yogurt for a snack. No hunger at all.    WOW, tomorrow is day 5 and not only did I not suffer at all during the week, I found out how sensitive my pouch still is. Almost the same as when I first went back to solid foods after surgery.     As for weight loss, I am not really tracking it. I was at 179 last Friday, but I try not to agitate myself by getting on the scale every day. I know that I must have lost some weight, but it really doesn't matter to me. Maybe I'll get on the scale Sunday and surprise myself. I'll keep ya posted.                                                                                             Life is great, ain't it??                                                                                                                  -Bob

Bob: Thank you for posting!  It's amazing how this pouch does it's thing when we treat it right!  The weight loss is a good side effect of the 5DPT...however, the flushing out of carbs and the reinforcement of good habits is the best part! Keep up the good work! Angela
