good morning everyone yesterday was my 14 month mark for open rny  down another 2 lbs  still no complaints and no complications  i would do it all over again if i had to -- this surgery is only as difficult as you make it  *the rules are basic *protein first *drink plenty of water or flavored water *minimal caffiene *no soda *watch your carb intake *watch your sugar intake *eat plenty of protein  - can't stress that enough  *exercise -- ok so i don't exercise -- but i do have a busy lifestyle  *chew your food until it is the consistency of applesauce in your mouth and chances are you won't get sick  *don't drink while eating -- stop drinking a 1/2 hour before and *don't drink for a 1/2 hour after -- this will stop you from filling up on liquids before you eat and won't wash the food out after  *take your vitamins every day - the ones that your surgeon tells you to take - not the ones that everyone is taking - your doctor is looking at  your bloodwork - the person on the internet is NOT looking at YOUR bloodwork *there is no magic pill for hair loss - hair is made up of protein - eat your protein - it's easy - don't ever complicate it  *find a surgeon you TRUST - not just any old surgeon off the internet or in the phone book - shop around - ask questions  i have enjoyed my new lease on life - i brag about my surgery and my weightloss  most of all i love walking and breathing at the same time -- oh and my jeans ;)  love love love to wear jeans!! sweat pants are an option now -- not a must  good luck to everyone in thier journeys  Jeanne -- the best of luck to you tomorrow!! i know you have the best surgical team around and they will take very good care of you :)  take care all  roberta

Hi!
I can't believe you are still losing and you aren't exercising...that's truly amazing! I had my 14 month surgiversary this month too. I haven't lost anything since November and I exercise at least 5x a week. My appetite has increased alot but my metabolism is so fired up! I have a fatty liver now I think from taking lipitor and having diabetes, otherwise, I feel great!
