Hi Shannon:
I am very much looking forward to having a LBL , breast lift w/ augmentation and an arm lift (not all at the same time - LOL) in the next year or two. I am very concerned with the amount of time I will need off of work. How much time are you planning on taking off of work? What restrictions did the doctor place on you regarding work?
Best of luck!!
Hi Shar! I just find you EVERYWHERE!!! ....to add to Sharyn's post, I had a tt 2 wks. ago also with Dr. Capella. My recovery is tough. They took off 12-15 lbs. of skin. Definately one month off from work, I think, at least. I am a teacher and am supposed to go back Valentine's Day. I'm not sure if I will be up to it. Time can only tell. Everyone is different...you hear of some going back to work in 2 wks. after a tummy tuck! It's not an easy surgery but a rewarding one down the road. Debbie
I had a tt in September and took 4 and a half weeks, Did I need it? Probably not, but I am a nurse and had drains in for almost 2 weeks and refused to go bac****il the drains were out because I work in a hospital. I probably could have gone back in 3 weeks but might have pushed it a little. The second 12 hour shift in a row was tough, so I came home and took a percocet and felt better. Four weeks is a realistic goal.
I had a breast lift last Monday and that was a little tougher for me, more swelling and bruising, I am taking 2 weeks off for that one. I can do that because I work in the newborn nursery and am not lifting much more than 8 lbs. and I work with a good group who wouldn't let me lift too much or overdo it somehow. We'll see.
Good luck with your surgery.
Amy
