I just had a lower body lift and a breasdt lift last Monday, and no way did insurance even nlook at it. I was totally self pay... It's so worth it, go for it...

I did have a LBL with Dr Capella (awesome by the way) 2 years ago. I was just wondering about the breasts, im still getting rashes....I guess I will just have to wait until that loan is paid off first!

Yea, I think mine is going to be awesome as well, Im a bit swollen now, but then again, It's only a week out, but I can see a big difference...Capella wanted to do both at the same time...He's wonderful...I see him tomorrow

Rashes and documentation of any back pain, etc may be your ticket.  Talk to your PCP and take pictures.  Make sure when you apply to the insurance that the PCP say it is reconstruction for health reasons and in no way cosmetic. Good luck to you. Jeanne

My insurance (BCBS IL/PPO) would only consider breast work if it was reconstructive related to disfigurement from cancer, or if a reduction was medically necessary.  The lift was very much worth every penny (that I'm still paying off!).

When I called my insurance company they wouldn't even give me criteria for medical necessity. They want my PCP to call and get the ball rolling. So... I was hoping someone out there already went through this and maybe even had a letter drawn up that I could review so I would know what to tell the insurance company... im keeping my fingers crossed I go see my PCP on monday and hope she will help me!
