Does anyone know why Dr Kamelgard is closing down his practice in Paramus, NJ?

Inquirying minds want to know...  I really liked him.. he will be missed by this community very much, he wasn't my surgeon but I wish I had known him when I was deciding who to have do my surgery... I attended his support group for a while and gained alot of insight from him.. he was a rare breed of dr.. not many attend the support groups..(  and I don't mean the selling session -- that those other drs run and call support ) I will miss him..  I hope he resurfaces soon.. we need more doc's like him

I was shocked to find out he was closing, and I have no idea why. I have to send for my records, this is all very sad. :( He is a great doctor and I am grateful for the help he gave me.

Have you called the office and asked them why they're closing and where he's going? I mean, he IS your surgeon, so I would think they would at least tell you where he's headed, no? Wendy

Another thought... does he do his surgeries at his clinic?  This may be a problem his patients are running into if their insurance requires a Center of Excellence or other accredited hospital... so perhaps he's moving his practice to a hospital affiliation? Wendy
