South Jersey Support Groups

I live in Mullica Hill (Gloucester County) and will be having lapband surgeryin late February/early March.  I know that there is a support group in the Pitman/Washington Township area but can't locate it.  If anyone has any information of support groups in my area I would really appreciate it.  Thanks, Helen

Hi, Helen!  The Pitman group just moved to a new location, which may be why you can't find us!!  We do have at least one lap bander - maybe more, but I'm not certain.  We have a meeting this week on Wednesday night at 7 PM.  We meet at the Gloucester County Office of Education on Salina and Tanyard Roads.  It's in Sewell, and really easy to find.  When you pull into the parking lot, we are in the first building on the right - and the room name is posted on the bulletin board at the door.  Here are the directions from the group: Directions from North: Take Route 295 South I-295 S becomes NJ-42 S Merge onto NJ-55 S via EXIT 13 toward DEPTFORD / GLASSBORO / VINELAND. Take the RT-41 N exit- EXIT 56B- toward WOODBURY / WEESTVILLE. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto DELSEA DR / NJ-47. Turn LEFT onto BANKBRIDGE RD. Turn LEFT onto TANYARD RD / CR-663. End at Gloucester County Office of Education: 1492 Tanyard Rd, Sewell, NJ 08080 If you need more specific directions, you can go to http://www.mapquest.com and enter 1492 Tanyard Road, Sewell, NJ 08080, and your own address as the "from" destination.

I just got my date.  Surgery will be March 16 at Virtua in Marlton.  They have a support group every Thursday night but I was hoping to find something closer.  Thanks so much for your reply.  Once I have surgery I am sure I will need the support group more.  Helen
