new here/Dr. McLean

Hi Everyone... This is my first time here. I am scheduled for Feb. 15, and I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Dr. McLean in Morristown. My goal is 150 lbs of weight loss. Thanks for the welcome. Yes I've been approved. My surgery date is Feb. 15.

Happy Valentines day to you!!!  (Ok, so just about 1 day late for you - same idea!)  Congrats - I did not have surgery w/ your doc - but just wanted to say after working for ambulance services up there for many years, I LOVE Morristown Memorial Hospital.  I have also heard WONDERFUL things about their program! Buckle up and enjoy your ride - it certainly is a wild one! Pam

I suggest you learn about all wls, particularly the
ds, you cant get it from Dr Mclean, or in Morristown , I had some pre opts down there, but it is not my hospital of choice, I go to the University hospitals in NYC. cutting edge.

I have consulted with several NYC doctors over the last 3 years, and have decided to travel to Omaha ne, for my surgery, but I am a special case, special doctor, and a volume of Insurance crap. bmi 35 6 como's and one very rare type of diabetes. and a fundy wrap

good luck with your surgery. I have done quite a bit of research, and I feel relatively confident about my choice. I have no como's and no insurance issues, luckily. Thanks for your response.  Big_Ideas

Hey there - I'm a current patient of Dr. McLean's in Morristown - just waiting for that dreaded insurance approval (AETNA......it's horrible).     I do have comos and I'm still having delays with them.    Morristown is an awesome hospital!    Dr. McLean's office has been wonderful - as has the Psych and Nutrition Offices affiliated with their program. 

 I hope to have this insurance stuff finalized in the next few days - and schedule my surgery in mid-March.

Good luck to you - hope to meet you at the support group meetings when we are both post-op!
