Hi All, I am really excited about tomorrow but this bowel prep is awful. I am nauseous and having a hard time getting it down (magnesium citrate)BUT I am doing it.  Wish me luck... Amy

Congratulations & good luck. Stick with it and everything will be fine. Just do what Dr.JB & the staff ask, and before you know it you'll be feeling like a new person.                                                                                                            -Bob & Christine

Sorry the mag is giving you such problems - just make sure the bathroom is clear for your use!  Way to go - can't wait to follow your journey with you! Pam
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Thanks Everyone.  I feel a little bit better now my headache has finally let up. (I think it is from caffeine withdrawl)and I have taken my first antibiotic. I am still a little nervous but over all not too bad. The funny thing is I keep getting up to go to the fridge to eat and I keep feeling like I am forgetting something...I never realized how much I eat with out even thinking about it. Crazy!!  Thanks Again  Amy

Amy: We'll keep you in our prayers.  That gross stuff is just the first step to your wonderful journey. I had my surgery on 12/11 and I'm feeling wonderful.  First you think you are starving to death and then it goes away.  And the broth starts tasting like steak and you are good to go.  I hope you like broth and jello because it will be your friend for a few weeks.  I've graduated to yogurt, cream soups and skim milk and its not so bad. But when you head back to the doc and they tell you how much weight you've lost, it makes the journey all worth it!  I've lost 14 lbs. and I feel like snoopy dancing.  I wish you all the best!  OH and take a pillow with you to hospital so you can get comfy.

I have to say the bowel prep was one of the worst things I have ever been through, luckily that feeling doesn't last for long. Amy
